WHAT WE DO:
We offer Friday morning gymnastics classes to children aged 3 months to 3 years old in Oxshott.
Our structured classes are led by qualified coaches and focus on putting the participants at the heart of every session. Parents/Carers work with their children encouraging them to develop skills on the floor, on apparatus and working with others.
Each week is themed to keep classes fun and engaging. Our classes aim to develop fundamental movement skills that are transferable to a number of different sports settings as well as progressing children’s gymnastics capabilities.
Classes run on Fridays in line with local school term times (we have a break at half term and during school holidays). We are based at The Oxshott Community Hub.
In all of our classes parents/carers join in the fun.
We offer a 2 week trial for all new starters.w
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS AND TIMES:
We recognise that our mini gymnasts develop at different rates so the age suggestions for our classes are only a guide. Our qualified coaches will advise and work with you to ensure that we cater for your child’s development, whether they’re lying, sitting, standing, walking or cartwheeling! We’ll be there to help support your mini gymnast at every stage of their gymnastics journey.
9:15AM - 10:00AM
(Toddlers) roughly 1 YEARS OLD - 2 YEARS OLD
Once your little one is walking, this class will start to develop your mini gymnasts fundamental movements used in gymnastics alongside their agility, balance and co-ordination. Using plenty of music, songs and games along the way we aim to develop our mini gymnast’s confidence and social awareness. Class themes, hand apparatus and bubbles ensure the children (and grown ups) have plenty of fun.
£11.25 per class.
10:15 - 11:00AM
(non-walkers) - 3 MONTHS - roughly 1 YEARS OLd
This class is aimed at babies from 3 months old until they start walking. Skills are taught through themes, song, sign, play and repetition, so there’s never a dull moment! During the class we’ll provide creative ideas for movement, tummy time, sensory and visual development, alongside others. Your mini gymnast will be kept busy and you’ll be provided with lots of practical ideas that can be easily replicated at home.
£11.25 per class.
11:15 - 12:00PM
(2 YEARS OLD TO 3 YEARS OLD)
During this class the children will spend time refining their basic gymnastic techniques and learning more tricky skills and progressions. Adults/carers are taught how to help their mini gymnast on the apparatus and enjoy encouraging them to achieve gymnastics milestones! They will develop their body tension, strength, will be encouraged to be more independent and develop their self esteem and confidence.
